Hey all
Wondering if you can help with working out what has bitten or touched my little girls foot in nursery today. She was walking on stepping stones outside and burst in to tears for a full hour and 30 mins, limping and not wanting to put pressure on the foot. On the sole of her foot is a small white spot and a red swollen area to the side of it.
nursery aren’t sure what has caused it as there wasn’t anything around the stones and no bee sting in the spot.
if anyone knows what it is it would be super helpful!
photos aren’t the best unfortunately as she wouldn’t let me touch her foot! Circled the white spot on the one photo
thanks all

My guess is wasp… I’d give her some piriteze and put some anthesan on it. Hope it stops hurting soon!

Thanks for that, I did think this initially but when I’ve googled wasp stings none of the images seem to look like this so wasn’t sure! Thanks for your reply 😊

I would give Piriton and check again tomorrow, it's should be more clear what it is. Horsefly bites are very painful and they get big quite quickly.
My other thought is to wonder if it's a splinter gone under the skin.
