My son has been saying that his balls feel like they are being pulled down and geel weird, it looks like one of then is bigger than the other. Dr google suggests it could be a hydrocele and that it goes away by itself? Is it worth booking a gp appointment now?

Absolutely you need a GP appointment, if it gets worse before the appointment then take him to the A&E as this is a serious condition.

What if it’s a tortion? Please dont ask strangers on a forum, get him seen.

Yes definitely a gp appointment.

Painful and swollen is a medical emergency (but torsion pain is pretty excruciating), report of any kind of lump and swelling definitely worth getting checked out - need to make sure your son is briefed that the doctor will actually need to look and examine with their hands!

Thanks all, Got a same day appointment so we’re going today. He’s aware that a doctor has to check, his only concern is that they wear gloves lol

Gloves are beneficial to both parties!
