Prescription query

My lo was prescribed some cream for a fungal nappy rash yesterday morning. Took it to Boots yesterday, they didn't have any in stock but ordered it in - will be ready for Tuesday. My lo is really struggling with the rash - can I see if another pharmacy have it in today?
I got the prescription emailed to me.
I panicked a bit because it was Sunday but now seeing my lo sore and itchy I am wondering if I can find her the medication today but as boots have ordered it I wonder if I even can. (The cream is prescription only - I don't think I can just buy it off the shelf and I've tried lots of the shelf products which haven't made any difference)

You can get your prescription back and take it to another pharmacy. It might be worth ringing round local pharmacies to see if they have the item in stock.

You need to go to boots and ask them to release the prescription to you and you can then take it to any other pharmacy.
I'd probably recommend giving the other pharmacies in your local area a call first.

We had a situation where my daughter had one dose of her medication left and the local pharmacy was saying it was impossible to get hold of and there was no point in them releasing it to me as other pharmacies wouldn't have it either. Begrudgingly they did, I phoned the pharmacy in the next time and picked it up 2h later!

As it's with boots you can also ask them to check the stocks at all of their other local stores. We had them do this for us another time when we were struggling the locate the same medication. Unfortunately in that situation all the boots stores in the county were out of stock but there was one bottle left in stores and they managed to get it delivered the next day!
