Toddler pain in sensitive area

My 3 year old dd has been right as rain all day. A bit tired and grizzly towards bedtime. When I put her in the bath she became upset complaining that her bum hurt but pointing to her urethra area. It must have stung quite badly as she wanted to get out of the bath which isn’t like her.

The area looks totally normal and she hasn’t complained of pain while weeing. No fever or anything. Just a bit perplexed as to what could cause it. We are due to go away this weekend and I don’t want her coming down with a UTI or anything. But so far the symptoms wouldn’t suggest that. Does anyone have any ideas?

My daughter gets vulva vaginitis which causes her discomfort, particularly at night. Ibuprofen helps and keeping the area clean. It's mostly been since potty training and apparently it's quite common in girls of this age.

Possibly worms? Vaginal pain can be one of the symptoms as they can migrate to that area and cause inflammation.

Will certainly keep a look out for worms. It only really happened while she was in the bath. No issues before.
