Waiting for mole removal and mole is changing

DD14 is awaiting a new mole/mark on her back to be removed, she was seen end of April and we were told the wait time is 1-2 months. It’ll then be analysed for skin cancer.

The mole has changed - I think worsened but it’s small and hard to get a decent look at it as DD doesn’t want me pestering her too often.
I contacted the dermatology department and was told they had no consultants working for the week and to go via GP.
Moles are seen by a (very nice) nurse at the GP surgery who will just refer back to dermatology, we’ve seen her twice.
Should I just leave till operation/removal date as that’s all they’ll do still or should I push for it to be done sooner? Money is tight but would find private amount if it was worth it. The change to this mole is making me quite anxious. DD can’t see it, although it is still painful, but it’s hard for her to keep an eye on it due to the position between shoulder blades.

You should go private. The hospital won’t do it any sooner. There’s a long waiting list and sadly this includes moles that change.
