Should I call 111 for child's temp not going down

3 year old started with a fever but no other symptoms. Been alternating paracetamol and ibuprofen but not really bringing it down. Gave her calpol an hour ago when it was 39.6. An hour later and it's come down to 38.8. Often when she is unwell she gets quite high temp. Don't know to call 111 or if its too soon and see how she is tomorrow but slightly worried that meds don't bring it down much. Lowest it's been is 38.1 she won't eat but is drinking just very grumpy but not complaining of pain.

Call them, they will be able to advise if it needs action or not

When this happened to my little one they told me to take her to hospital - she had pneumonia

I thought anything over 39 in under 5s needed a phone call anyway? Hope she feels better soon x

I'd call them. Let them decide if she needs to go to the hospital.

I’d call them and get some advice

When I took 2 year old DS with a high temp to my GP he made us sit in the waiting room with DS in only his underwear to cool off. Tbf his temp went down and he was ok to go home. We were there about and hour maybe in a quiet more private annex
