Excessive nose picking

My little girl is 4, almost 5.

She has bad hayfever and the last month she is continuously picking her nose like every 30 seconds. She says it feel funny and feels like something is stuck in it. She is making her nose bleed every day sometime 2 or 3 times a day and it’s just not getting any time to heal.

Shes taking piriteze morning and night, I’m using a saline spray on her as much as advised every day and also using a cotton bud and putting some Vaseline round the outside to try and help heal the bits she keeps picking.

It’s driving her absolutely nuts it’s such a shame. I’m wondering if it’s a possible tic she has developed as it’s so obsessive however her nose does sound choked and she is telling me it feels funny etc.

what would you do next? I don’t know if taking her to the GP is the right thing or if they would look at me funny for taking her in with an itchy nose but really unsure what else I can do to try and help her and stop her nose from bleeding every day.

As it’s been going on for a month I’d be taking her to the GP. It might be that she has a deviated septum or something else, so a referral to ENT might be helpful.
