Hi!

Over two thirds of my 4yo DD’s class has had chickenpox over the last month.

daughter has been feeling under the weather the last two days and today have noticed these spots/blisters - thoughts on whether the pox has got us or not?

I’d say so, yes. Sorry.

I would say yes 😬
Unless you’ve been somewhere mosquito-y?

Best tip I was given by my friend who is a nurse, who did her post grad in dermatology, is to not bathe them. She said the NHS advice to bathe them is really outdated. People think “it brings them out”, but what it actually does it causes the blisters to weep the infection into the water, which you’re then spreading over their body.

She advised me to use a couple of wet flannels for each area that needed a wipe down, and to use Poxclin. Both of my kids had them relatively mildly (on separate occasions) and both were dried up and back to nursery in 5 days.
