Was this chicken pox?!

Daughter is now a few weeks away from being 4 and chicken pox are doing the rounds at her preschool.

A few weeks before her 1st birthday she was poorly with cold symptoms, fever snotty etc and came up with these spots.

There were only three that seemed to have the ‘blister’ type spot that you get with chicken pox. And the one on her foot was the only one that scabbed. Ones on her torso never blistered. Neither the armpit one. She had another under her chin too. At the time we weren’t 100% sure if they were chicken pox as that’s all she had and cleared quickly but now she seems to be escaping them at preschool maybe they were? Any thoughts?

Those look like the chicken pox that my (vaccinated) DC had when CP did the rounds at their school. They had no other symptoms (didn’t feel under the weather and were their usual self) due to having the vaccine/some immunity built up beforehand.

Yes I am more inclined to say it was chicken pox now, especially where she is escaping it at preschool at the moment!

I would guess she has an immunity now and was lucky to have an easy go at it.
