Dizzy, feeling sick and chest pain

In a nutshell, DD 14 has been unwell since Saturday, dizzy and with a fever.

Tonight she has spiked a fever again, has a fast heart rate, is feeling dizzy, and has pains in her chest. I gave her paracetamol a few hours ago, but it doesn't seem to have done anything!

We will take her to the hospital in a moment. I am waiting for my husband to come back after dropping my youngest two off at my sisters a few miles up the road. She did play a football game on Saturday, so I wonder if it's related to heat exposure, but she has been drinking gallons of water

No advice but just wanted to say hope she's ok

You're doing the right thing to head to A&E. Chest pain in kids is usually less of a big deal than in adults, but this could for instance be a chest infection. Or, if she's on the pill, there's a tiny chance of a blood clot. It's probably actually nothing serious, but well worth getting checked out.

Make sure they do bloods including something like CRP to look for inflammation in her heart.

Poor girl.
Doubt it’s the heat 3 days on…
She could have some sort of infection that she can’t fight off. Hope you get to the bottom of it.

How is your daughter OP? Did they get to the bottom of her horrible symptoms?

It was severe dehydration. She spent a night in the hospital and after many bags of fluid, a check on her kidneys, she was allowed home to rest. She is still very exhaused from the whole thing

It’s no good just drinking water for dehydration, they need the electrolytes too, just for future reference.

She was guzzling water, squash and dioralights but nothing helpeed
