Given the weather possibly heat rash. I used to get this very badly on my feet as a child.

lydgjhsCSBCH · 22/06/2025 17:14

Actually, maybe not. The pic has uploaded now. I didn't get it on the soles of my feet. That looks like something different.

Dairymilkisminging · 22/06/2025 17:17

Yeah it's just the souls of his feet no where else.

Hand, foot and mouth was my first thought. I seem to remember dd having it with no symptoms initially other than dots on her hands

MassiveOvaryaction · 22/06/2025 17:42

Has he been out in the garden in bare feet? Wondering if maybe nettle rash and he's scratched them or stood on something thorny?

Dairymilkisminging · 22/06/2025 18:21

He does go barefoot in the garden but it's all paved with no grass.
If its hand and foot I just have to wait it out I guess. Poor toot they don't look comfortable

piriton will help, looks like prickly heat

watchuswreckthemic · 22/06/2025 18:44

The NHS have quite a good set of pictures of rashes that you could look at. Have you a 24 hour pharmacy you could pop to? Ours is amazing and always happy to triage.

Dairymilkisminging · 22/06/2025 19:42

Nothing open near us on a Sunday. It's not bothering him now. I gave him allergy medication when it 1st appeared and it didn't seem to do much (helped a much needed nap though) will be taking him tomorrow

I think hand foot and mouth, you could ask a pharmacist to have a look.

HairOfFineStraw · 23/06/2025 17:19

What have you found out?

Dairymilkisminging · 24/06/2025 17:42

It's nettles. Pharmacists thinks he's more sensitive to then than normal. We found some very small ones growing in the cracks of the paved garden

So wee update it must've been hand, foot and mouth as his feet are now peeling like a snake

I would have said that but now seen your update. DH had it very badly and I took baby into isolation at a friend’s empty house.

She ended up with a small rash on foot and no other symptoms. Poor DH was very itchy and poorly.

Dairymilkisminging · 05/07/2025 15:50

Yeah it's so strange there's 5 kids in the house and my 1st time with one catching it ds is only 2 so no clue how he got it. No symptoms apart from one day of itchy feet with spots.

Any recommendations to help his peely feet?

I think this could be a type of eczema - has the GP considered this? i have it and it starts as red raised lumps (itchy) that sometimes go into sort of blisters and then peel - it’s worse in heat inc for me too high central heating

Pompholyx

Find out about pompholyx (also called dyshidrotic eczema), including what the symptoms are, how it’s treated and what you can do to ease the symptoms.

Looking at the photos it does look like this. My daughter had it just one year very badly and they prescribed steroid cream. Mine is milder and normally i can do nothing and it passes after a cycle. Your son’s looks very similar to mine but more extensive.

Freyer · 05/07/2025 19:39

@Dairymilkisminging has he had a fever / red, cracked lips / swollen lymph node in neck, as well as the peeling feet? Im just thinking Kawasaki Disease.

I was going to suggest the same.

The spots look like the hard blisters and mine peels dramatically 🫣
