Baby Lymph node behind ear

Hello everyone.

My son was born with a noticeable lymph node behind his ear, it's the size of a small kidney bean and is moveable.

I took him to the GP at 2 weeks old to get it checked out as I was really worried about it and they said it's likely nothing to be concerned about but to keep an eye on it.

He's now 20 months old and it's still there, it hasn't changed or gotten bigger or anything but I thought it would have shrank or gone away by now. Do you think I should take him back to the GP?

He's absolutely fine in himself, no health issues at all

Thanks

The size of a small kidney bean is a normal size for a lymph node.

Don’t worry, I had the same worry with my son , I found it when he was 7 weeks old, a moveable pea sized lymph node behind his right ear. A GP reassured me that it’s nothing to worry about and it may just go on its own or stay there. He’s now a healthy 27 months old and the lymph node is still there the same size.
