Hello,

We're on day 3 of a disimpaction regime. Its hard going getting the sachets into my 5 year old. Today we got just under 10 and he's having gravy consistency poos. Please tell me we are getting there??? I'm finding the whole process quite hard.

If you have a Facebook account there's a group called movicol mummies which is extremely helpful for advice and information during disimpactions and for finding maintenance dose after etc I was so glad I joined.

Sounds like you’re doing really well already. That’s really good. Just be aware that maintenance isn’t quite as straightforward as you’d think it would be from all the instructions but you can get there. Keep going your little one is very lucky to have you supporting them x

We’re just about to start this with my 5 year old so this gives me hope seeing that you’ve already got to that point after 3 days! Sounds as though you’re nearly ready to drop to maintenance

I thought I'd come back on to update. We did the full 7 day regime and got to nearly 12 sachets for 3 days. It felt stressful as we have an 8 year old and it was her birthday too. But we did it and for a week now we have had type 4 sausage poos on the toilet. It was worth all the hard work!

That's great OP, what maintenance dose did you end up on?

We're on 2 a day, but may need to take it down to 1.5
