18 month old tick bite

Hiya, we have spent the day at our local farm and noticed this evening when bathing my 18 month old daughter that she had a small tick attached to her leg. I am absolutely mortified and now worried sick. The tick has been removed and I washed the area and applied antiseptic cream. Is anyone able to offer me any reassurance?

Keep a close eye on her. If you notice she becomes flu like, can't look at bright lights, hallucinating or having strange pains then she would need treatment for Lyme disease. Also if you notice any bullseye rashes - although it doesn't present itself some of the time in the form of a rash. Hope she's ok

The risk of Lyme disease is very low in the UK

One day last summer I took 8 ticks off my daughter in one day. She’s like a magnet for the buggers. They are mostly fine and you don’t need to worry unless your LO gets ill. The bullseye rash is a sign that she’ll need antibiotics.
