Molluscum or something else?

Hi,

My son has been diagnosed with molluscum and whilst he has quite a few small ish lumps they are quite manageable and not causing too many issues, however the last few days he's got a large hard spot which looks totally different to the others.

Anyone have any experience on something similar been molluscum or is it maybe an insect bite?

It's very itchy, hard and a bit sore.

Currently treating his other molluscum with tea tree oil and camomile lotion which does seem to be speeding things up.

Thanks for any advice.

My DD had one of her molluscum get infected and needed antibiotics for it.

This looks like the molluscum my DD had on her side several years ago. She only had the one and I'd never heard of the condition before! It was infected though and she needed a course of antibiotics.
