Mark on Childs neck

My son has come home from pre-school with this mark on his neck and I’m intrigued to see what others think it looks like. The small spot on the left is a chicken pox scar but the other marking is new.

He's 2.5 and good with his speech but I can’t understand what he’s saying about this. It sounds like he is saying …..something wrap on my neck. He’s then mentioning pre-school.

Normally wouldn’t give a second thought to a small mark like this but he’s in a space with older children where he is the youngest and he’s had two other incidents this week where they’ve informed me they have spotted a bump on his head which were visible on pick up (one still bruised) but don’t know how it happened. (One of those occasions he’d also grazed his elbow).

Any thoughts on what this looks like it could be?

Looks to me like he's broken some capillaries under the skin. Did he pull the neck of his T shirt by getting it caught on something, or have a skipping rope or similar rub past his neck?

Edited to add - re read to say he says "something wrap on my neck" - that's what it looks like. Just check nobody put something round his neck on purpose and pulled it.

If he is well in himself it would not worry me.

Looks a bit like a friction burn? Also it looks as if there is bruising above but it’s a bit difficult to see in the lighting.
