HFM? Something else

Hi

DD who is 1 (15m) has been off colour since yesterday.

Shes wanting to sleep a lot but eventually wakes up screaming in pain and it takes awhile to calm her down.
giving Calpol and nurofen.

she's refusing food but managing sips of water and ive offered more milk than she would have.
(she only has a morning and night bottle)

dribble is pouring out of her mouth, aware this could also be teething but I think with food refusal, wanting to sleep something is off.

she has 2 small spots on her hand and what looks like 1 on her lip, she's not letting me having a closer look inside her mouth.
she goes to put her finger in her mouth but then stops as guessing she remembers it hurts.

Does sound like HFM, which is absolutely hideous and she'll be in a lot of pain. Keep the meds going on alternate doses, let her live on ice cream and yoghurt if she can manage it, and be ready for a very rough week.

Refused ice cream but managed half a yoghurt, thank you.

is there anything else I need to do other than pain killers?

first experience with it, may go get her mouth checked for her throat
