Rotavirus in newborn, how long?

My LG is 9wks old and has suspected Rotavirus. She’s had diarrhoea for 9 days now, she poos after every bottle. She’s fine in herself, feeding normally (formula) and putting on weight.
She also strains and then you hear a gush when it happens.
Has anyone else experienced this? It seems like a long time to me but the GP didn’t seem bothered.
Any advice?

My baby has just had rotavirus, and I caught it off LO. Fortunately we only had one day of gushing wet diarrhoea for the baby (it's pretty bleak as an adult too). I assume LO got back to normal more quickly because of having had chance to have both vaccine doses, which your baby is too small for! The rotavirus vaccine gave my baby 10 days of horrible loose nappies both doses, but fortunately without the projectile vomiting of the real thing.

I think if your baby is putting on weight and behaving as you would expect, you just need to ride it out. You could always phone the GP and let them know that baby is still having diarrhoea if you are worried.
