Glue Ear and Nasal Douches

Hi All,

Really need some opinions on this, my daughter has been suffering on and off with glue ear. We had a ENT appointment and the consultant said there is fluid in the left ear. Now whilst my husband was there he also started mentioning that she always has a runny nose constantly. So the consultant has advised a revisit in 3 months with a plan to carry out 1 nasal douche a day. I dont know why but I find this a bit extreme to do on a 4 year old. Has anyone else had a plan like this for their child and if so has the treatment worked?

There is a lot that goes in to nasal douches to make it safe and I really don't understand why I would need to carry this out for 3 months.

Thank you all
