Eczema in babies

My daughter (15 months) has suffered quite badly with eczema since a few months old. It cleared up really well over the colder months which was amazing but I think she has made a habbit with the scratching. Now over the last few weeks with the weather being a lot warmer her eczema has come back with a vengeance.. mainly the creases on her body.

after many visits to the doctors, with numerous creams and treatments we are really struggling to find anything to help it. We are finding it difficult dressing her in the heat as it’s to warm to have her covered but if we put her in a little dress she’s scratching untill she bleeds.
Please any advice??

Oh God I totally feel your pain, DD was exactly the same, lots worse in the warmer months as well.

At that age DD hated being outside and would come up in a rash as soon as she went in the sun.

Have you tried an antihistamine? DD was diagnosed as allergic to grass and dust, and has hay fever.

Generally keeping them cool helps too.

We had tons of creams but ultimately, none of them worked.

A cold compress can help - i.e. cold wet flannel.

Keeping them really well moisturized helps too.

yes, have been prescribed piriton, can’t say I’ve seen no difference with taking that unfortunately..
I’m really hoping it’s something she may grow out of as it is horrific.
