Scratch on babies face

My baby girl (6m) scratched her cheek yesterday afternoon. It’s relatively deep for a nail scratch and it also drew blood.
Today there is redness around the scratch and it looks quite sore, but no scab seems to be forming.
Although it isn’t bothering her and it didn’t when she did it, I feel so sorry for her😅

How can I help it heal quicker?

Just give it a bit of time.

You could squirt breast milk at it, if that's an option.

I do sympathise - my engagement ring gouged my newborn baby and has spent it's life since in a box. I was so upset.

I second putting breast milk on it, it's magical stuff.

Thank you! Will the breastmilk still work if the cut is no longer open? It seems to have dried out now

I think so. I put it on everything, even cuts on myself and other DD. I really miss having it for first aid purposes Grin

Aha that’s amazing, thanks so much!!
