Pizotifen side effects

Can anyone tell me how long their side effects lasted?
My ds is 12 and started with migraines last year.
He started taking pizotifen a week ago, and the next day complained of a bad headache (no nausea, aura etc). It's a bad headache and has been going on for a week.
Can't speak to migraine prof until Wednesday.

My dd has been on it since she was 12. She’s 28 now. No side effects at all.

The migraine nurse asked that we leave things as they are for now, and we'll get some info from the professor by lunchtime tomorrow.
I just feel like a week is such a long time for a bad headache.
