Scar on daughters forehead

My little 4 year old daughter fell against a wall and got a huge bruise. Her forehead skin opened in the middle of the bruise. It almost didn’t bleed so we didn’t go to hospital to get stitches or glued. I thought it would just disappear. Now, 3 months after her accident, it is still so visible and I just feel so sorry for her. We use silicon gel and silicon sheets as well as suncream. Has anyone experienced a similar accident and might give me some hope? I just hope it won’t be visible forever as it is such a prominent place in the middle of her little forehead. The picture shows her wound 2 weeks after the accident and now, 3 months later.

Hello! My stepdaughter smashed her head against the corner of the house (not on my watch!) Aged 4. Needed stitches.

She's 14 now. As she grew it moved so close to her hairline you'd barely know it was there and it's much more faded. I was devastated for her at the time but I never notice it now. She'll grow up with it and hopefully it won't bother her.

Terrible photo attached. Top is at the time. Bottom is recent.

I tripped and hit my forehead on a rock when I was 14. It bled quite a lot and I did have a scar for a while, but now it's barely visible. I don't remember how long it took to fade completely, but with your daughter being so young it might take less time.

Thank you so much and I am sorry that this happened to your stepdaughter! Good to hear that it faded. My daughters scar is in the middle of her forehead so it probably won’t move to her hairline 😔

Thank you so much and I am sorry, that this happened to you. So good to hear that it is barely visible now. I feel so powerless because the only thing that really helps is patience and I am not able to take it from her 😔
