Brown/orange snot

I noticed this morning my 19mo daughter had orange/brown wet mucous from her nose. I’m assuming it’s old blood. She’s had a slightly snotty nose so my rational side is saying it’s just irritated but my previous health anxiety and ptsd makes me panic. Would this be classed as a nose bleed? sorry I know I’m being mega irrational

I get these sometimes. Changes in weather/humidity make the inside of the nose dry, then they cough/sneeze and get a bit of blood leaking inside the nose. That turns the snot orange, like you said.

A nose bleed is super obvious - I had them for the first time while pregnant and I would literally drip blood all over the floor. And even that is actually only a tea spoon or two of blood but it looks dramatic.
