At 7 months are you sure he’s not picked up something off the floor and eaten it?! Best to contact GP if you’re concerned but if he is otherwise well just call in the morning

Definitely carrot then. For the first few months of weaning everything comes out as it goes in!

User3456 · 21/04/2025 21:19

Hmmm is it solid? The carrot is probably the culprit!
DS had red in his urine once when newborn, I was breastfeeding. I saved the nappy and showed the midwife who didn't seem concerned. I later read that it can be a sign of dehydration/kidney issues/uti. But it only happened once and no further problems, no long term effects so I guess the midwife was right?

That was probably red brick dust nappy. It's a thing. My ds had blood filled nappies. That was an allergy. But this def looks like carrot.

Don’t be alarmed at the state of his nappy if you ever give him beetroot. Dh nearly called an ambulance as he thought dd was peeing blood! Also weetabix looks like they have been eating sand when it comes out of the other end.
