Raised lump on babies scalp

Has anyone else had a baby with a raised tan coloured lump? Was thinking it was a strawberry mark but it’s not red enough. I’m at the doctors next week so will ask then but would like to calm my nerves 😂

Hi, I’m sorry but I wouldn’t be waiting for the dr next week if it was me. Unless the baby hit his head somewhere I would be running to the hospital. I hope is nothing serious x

Really ? I was thinking it was a birthmark more than anything ! @Aloha2024

Seems a bit of an overreaction?

How long has the mark been been there OP? Is it just a patch of thickened cradle cap? That turns browny in colour over time.

@DamnitCarolits actually been there as long as I can remember but seems slightly more raised today ? It’s not cradle cap he does have that on the top of his head

Does he often sleep with his head on the lump side? I wonder if it's irritated skin where it's been rubbing against something in the pram/carseat

You know what … that’s his preferred breast feeding side and I think that might be it, just had a feel and I think it might rub on the plastic bit of my bra !!! @INeedNewShoes
