Any skin experts out there?!

My daughter has had bad skin on her hands for over a year, also gets similar skin around her elbows.

Doctor not interested in finding if there’s a root cause, just wants to prescribe steroid cream whenever it flares up.

Steroid cream for around a week does help it, but then we’re back to square one.

Help a desperate mum out!

I would request a skin biopsy. I get very similar on my hands/arms from the sun, had a skin biopsy and was diagnosed with cutaneous lupus.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. Nobody has ever mentioned lupus and I’ve just googled photos and her hands 100% resemble this. I will check this out with the doctor, thanks again!
