Diarrhoea after sickness has ended? 1 year old

My son has been vomiting (no diarrhoea) since sunday, sickness ended over 24 hours ago. Eating and drinking fine.

This afternoon, he’s developed diarrhoea every 2 hours. It’s pale with lots of mucus. He’s otherwise ok in himself, no temperature and acting normally.

Does this sound normal? I’m surprised the vomiting and diarrhoea has come at different times.

First time mum here so I worry about everything 😅

Pretty common for diarrhoea to come after vomiting, as the bug passes down the gut.

From what I understand, as unpleasant as it is, it's a good sign that the bug is leaving the system. Wash your hands thoroughly though, as this is a prime time for it to spread to you!
