My little girl is 18 weeks old and she’s had a few illnesses the last few weeks and currently is a bit chesty with a cold. Im not sure if it’s because she’s feeling unwell or whether this started before the illnesses. But she has random outbursts of being unsettled and not just crying but high pitched screaming and nothing will help calm her. White noise and over my shoulder seems to be the best trick to eventually calm her. Shes exclusively breastfed but I have eliminated dairy from my diet as she had symptoms of Cmpa early on. Shes quite a windy baby and I’m not sure whether this is the reason and she’s in pain? I also thought she may be teething so I have used the teething powder this morning but she’s still been extremely unsettled. Has anyone else had anything similar and worked out what it was? I’m due to see the hv and nurse as I’ve had to postpone her immunisations the last few weeks where she’s been unwell so will also speak to them next week.

It may well be just wind or teething but if there is high-pitched, full-on crying you need to get it checked.
