Nursery germs, help

My 10 month old is on her 3rd very bad cough and cold since starting nursery in February. I knew this would happen as we had the same with with my first daughter but she never seemed to suffer as bad or it affect her sleep the way it does for this little one! It feels the worst at the moment with the coughing /wheezing we barely got 2 hours sleep last night and felt so helpless. I am giving her all the usual cold remedies with little improvement but as she is not showing any of the signs that they say it could be more than that (sucking in breathing etc) she hasn't even really had a temperature so I know from our last visit to the doctor a couple of weeks ago they will just tell me it's viral and can go on a few more days...but the cough and wheezing is relentless.
Does anyone have any tips, suggestions of supplements that may help? I bought sambucol after her last cold but can't say I saw any difference. Though I may not have given it every day religiously. Has anyone used any other vitamin drops or anything that's helped the immune system? I'm desperate to see some end or relief to this!

Saline drops are the only thing the NHS recommend (had two A&E visits & a hospital admission after baby started nursery - COVID, then RSV bronchiolitis three weeks later. November was hell). I know lots of parents swear by supplements but you can't boost your immune system unless you're deficient in something essential (iron, vit D etc).

The better weather is the main thing, it means all the nurseries have their windows open and the little ones play outside more. Otherwise, the little ones just have to catch everything. My LO was pouring with snot this morning, I don't understand how I find them so adorable and yet so revolting at the same time... Can't wait for proper spring weather.
