Hi everyone,

My son has had RAS since he was 18 months old, now 10yrs old. Occasionally he won't have a full seizure but will just faint and these are vasovagal triggered. His main trigger is blood or severe pain. This morning he woke up and said he'd had a nightmare about blood tests (he's had a few the last 12 months due to coeliacs disease and illness) and within about 10 mins of waking he had fainted. First of all this has never happened before without an actual real life trigger but what's more concerning me is that after when he was recovering from fainting he had visual disturbance in one eye, said there was a coloured vertical line everywhere he looked, this has never happened before in 8.5yrs of dealing with RAS. It lasted about 15 minutes and then went away.

Anyone else with children who have RAS or fainters had experience of visual disturbance AFTER? Obviously there is visual disturbance before he faints, tunnel vision/spots etc but never after.
