Hoping someone has been through something similar!

my 9 month old came down with diarrhoea & chicken pox within a day of each other. He’s now all scabbed over (day 7) but he’s still got awful diarrhoea and I don’t know why! Im going to speak to the doctors but im at a loss as to what’s going on and ive had enough time off work already. No signs of the diarrhoea going anywhere!

Sorry OP - little ones are such a worry.

Are they eating well/drinking their milk?

I would definitley go to the doctors too - a few days I'd understand but a week is a long time to have diarrhoea. Sorry I haven't actually helped x

Might be worth a trip to the GP, you are more likely to get diarrhoea with measles than with chickenpox, so the GP may want to check your LO out. I hope they feel better soon.

Thanks for the replies. I’ve been to the GP twice. It was definitely chicken pox that has now all scabbed over. GP didn’t seem worried about the Diarrhea, said it was probably just a side effect of the virus and it should pass. He’s drinking his milk fine but slightly off solids, nothing concerning though

Any better today or still runny?

I think if it was me I'd give it another 3 days and then go back to the GP again..

Poor you - poor LO
