A handhold please

My darling baby boy starts chemo next week. I am so very scared. There’s not much else to say other than I would appreciate a handhold please.

Aw I’m so sorry to read this. I sincerely hope it’s a smooth journey for him and for you with a quick and positive outcome. How old is he? Doctors can do such clever things these days, I hope he has a long and healthy life.

Have my hand. My dc has had chemotherapy and a whole lot of neurosurgery. There's a children's cancer MN board if you feel like it would be helpful for MN to move the thread there. There's more of us here than you'd think.

Thank you so much for your kindness. He is 20 months and the most beautiful little soul. Just pure sunshine. I’m not sure how to navigate this new path, but I’ll find a way, for him.

My hand is here to hold. Also arms available for a hug. So sorry your little boy has to go through it and that you have to witness it, witnessing their suffering is the worst part of parenthood. I don't pray but I hope/wish/dream that this journey goes quick and smooth for you all.

Thank you @Coldtoesandsand for the continued support! We are through the initial phase of treatment, it was completely horrendously hideous but we’ve done it. Sadly we’ve just found out he needs more treatment but hopefully this should be a bit gentler. He’s completely amazing and I’m in awe at his resilience. In the last two weeks alone he’s had six hospital admissions, sepsis and two surgeries, yet he’s spent today zooming around the garden as happy as can be. I’m am not sure I will ever get over how lucky I am to be his mum.
