Papercut to 3 YO eye lid??

Hi everyone

My son 3 yo papercut his lower lash line/eyelid today at preschool.

I can't seem to see the actual paper cut but they were sure it wasn't in his actual eyeball.
He was so distressed this evening, eye was watering, he kept rubbing it, crying and upset. He had moments of happiness but not many.
I gave calpol that didn't seem to help him.
He wanted lots of cuddles and is now asleep (for now)

Question is do I need to take him somewhere to be seen? I have absolutely no idea what to do.. paper cuts are painful the best of times.. anyone have any advice? :(

I would take him to either an optician or an eye specialist walk in/ a&e type place. Any kind of cut to the actual eye would require antibiotics and I think you need to be 100% sure.
Tomorrow I mean, not now that he's asleep!

Yeah, you're right :( the fact I can't tell for sure is worrying me so much.
I'll take him somewhere tomorrow. Hopefully he sleeps okay tonight.. he's been unsettled and half woken up once saying ouchie :( feel so bad for him!
