Chickenpox and fever before bedtime

Any advice is appreciated!

I have two little ones… the older of the two (2.5 years) has just come out in the chicken pox rash. He had a fever last week and the rash explains a lot of crankiness and lack of appetite etc. My 10 month old is inevitably coming down with it too.

Last night, she woke up feverish and I gave calpol and then ibuprofen when the fever didn’t come down… but now I know it’s the pox, I know I can’t be giving ibuprofen!

So here’s where I’d like some advice please… with what to do at bedtime.

my 10 month old has a fever of 38.9 currently so I’m giving calpol when I can but it isn’t having much of an impact…

What would you put her in tonight for bed, knowing she has a temperature that is staying high. Just a vest and light blanket? I’m worried she’ll be cold as i keep the rooms at around 18 degrees. Right now and last night too, she feels hot but is shivering a little so I’m wondering what’s going to be best (she is playing with her toys on and off so she isn’t too bad to be fair).

Thank you in advance for any advice! And sorry if this is a bit garbled… typing as I have the two of them here with me in the playpen!
