Hi my son has suspected Scarlet Fever 2 weeks ago and has been on antibiotics for 10 days which helped, although as soon as he has finished the course his temperature came right back up to 40.4 and now the rash has got much worse but in odd places like his Knees and ears. I went back to the doctors and they said it was just another infection and to ride it out….. first time mum so majorly worrying!

How is your DS today OP?

If you're concerned please take him back to the GP again. Most kids recover easily from Scarlet fever but occasionally it can need more treatment.
