3 year old ds was unwell with nasty cough, cold, temperature which is slowly VERY slowly going but 15 days ago he started complaining of eye pain, he grabs it and cry’s and shouts it hurts, we’ve been to the doctor and said nothing is wrong, 2 nights ago he woke up vomiting saying his eye and head hurt and the room was wobbling so we took him to A&E they checked him gave him calpol said nothing was wrong with him. This morning woke up as normal 10 mins after waking he complaining his eye hurts (it’s on and off throughout the day) but he just described it as a stinging which he never did before. Can anyone help because the doctors keep saying he’s fine. Clearly something is wrong. I don’t know what to do for him I hate seeing him in pain like this and not being able to help plus it’s causing massive anxiety wondering what’s going on with his. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Eye pain, wobby room and vomiting sounds like some kind of migraine to me but I'm no medical expert.

my daughter had eye pain many times, it turned out she had kidney issues and I don’t even know how to explain it but I know they were connected.

Once she said ‘eye pain’ it was guaranteed a kidney infection. She is older and is fine now.

This might be of no help to you but I just said I’d post as it was so unusual! I hope you get some answers x

Interesting answers so far, so he’s had a urine test which came back normal, he had a flu test which was negative. Calpol helps the pain but it’s only in one eye.
