Inverted or flipped appendix?

Is an inverted appendix the same as a flipped appendix does anyone who works in healthcare know this? My daughter had an ultrasound a few months ago and they said appendix flipped as he was doing the scan but no mention of this from doctors etc

haven't you posted on this before? It probably just means the appendix is pointing in one of the less common directions but 'flipped' is not a medical term so it's hard to know. The written report should have used the correct medical terminology so the doctors interpreting it had the information they needed.

The appendix is only fixed at the base so it is often mobile and can move to many different positions. I wouldn't think any more of it to be honest.
