Hi everyone, my son who’s 2 had his tonsils and adenoids out 11 days ago. After an absolutely awful day 4-9 he’s now no longer in pain, not needing any painkillers 🙌 which is great. However his nighttime sleep is still majorly disturbed by the constant cough he has which only appears at night! We had this operation because of constant tonsillitis and snoring and grunting when eating, unable to eat big pieces of food.. sleep wasn’t really a problem for us. However right now it feels like his sleep is worse because of this cough he’s up on average 3 times a night still. Prior to surgery he slept through and 12-13 hours (even with his snoring!!) and we are all so tired. If you’ve been through this did your little ones sleep get back to normal after surgery? When did this awful cough get better?

It could be that he’s coincidentally picked up a bug, or it could be a symptom of asthma that has been hidden by his tonsil symptoms .
