Hi ladies

feeling a bit worried. DD came home from nursery at the start of the week with green discharge in her eyes.

called Dr as thought she would need drops. They saw her and advised unless the eye is red then it’s likely to be viral and they won’t give drops.

anyway, I’ve taken the advice of wiping the eyes down and they’re mostly okay in the day but I do wipe them whenever I see some gunk, but they’re definitely worse in the morning and look very watery and sticky.

i had a Google earlier something I try not to do and the consensus is that if there’s green discharge it’s bacterial and requires drops but this is contrary to what the Dr said.

im very conscious that Drs get things wrong. Im going to call first thing in the morning but im extremely panicked and super worried about her being left over the weekend if they won’t see her tomorrow.

DD is 16 months for reference.

what’s peoples experience in this?

Take her to the pharmacy, they will check and give drops if there is discharge from eye.
