To worry about skinny son

My 5 year old is usually full of beans. He had a minor vomiting bug last weekend and didn’t really fancy much to eat afterwards. We gave him options of food from our usual meals, to toast, to treats. All refused. We didn’t worry at the time as he was drinking plenty. However he now seems quite skinny! He is a picky eater normally even without the tummy bug. Any advise on how to get him eating again…

Had the exact same with my 5yo last week!

He had a week of flu and then a few days of a vomiting bug, bless him.

His appetite picked up over a few days and then he was ravenous for a few days.

I think it just happens naturally, I wouldn't worry about doing anything specific. He'll eat when his body is ready.

In all likely hood you will be worrying unnecessarily but if you want to make him milkshakes made with full fat milk. You can also add ice cream, peanut butter, milk powder etc
