Hey all.

Wondering if anyone can help ? My little ones been saying she’s had an itchy butt hole lol for days . I assumed being back at swimming etc threw her wee ph off but last night she was screaming to high heavens about it

took her to the doc today and they said most likely worms … has anyone had this ?
shes not had any in her poo etc and I keep asking to see her bum in the morning and there’s nothing I can see ?
we’ve all been given a syrup to take tomorrow morning and of course clean everything 🥲😂

is this quite common
and any advice on how to deal with the itching ?!

Mine have never had it but it is common, yes. A friend’s children have had worms over and over. I suppose we’re all built differently and maybe some people are more likely to get this than others. Good luck!

It's common. The medicine should stop it. I believe you can put vaseline around there to catch them if it's still itchy. Change the bed, cut her nails etc.

We never had them with my first DD, but my second DD has brought them home a few times. You take the medicine, wash everything, then take it again 2 weeks later.

We find the keeping nails short and hands clean help.

I think my DD gets it from sandpits and play Doh 🤢

Thanks guys !
I always do cut her nails short as she come home from school like she’s been working in the mines 😅

can I ask how long did it take for the itching to stop ?
I feel ok but crawling reading about them

Oh almost immediately after taking the meds!

You've no doubt sorted this now but periodically check your little one, in the evening hours. This is when you'll see the little blighters.
I always keep Ovex in the medicine box
