Croup????

Hi guys, so my almost 1 year old has been ill for around 2 weeks. Started with just a cough and her vomiting from it but seemed herself and doctors said she was fine, it got worse last night and today so took her back to the doctors and they put it down as a chest infection and said she had an ear infection too. But this evening she has been coughing and her cough sounds different and is more of a barking, I have listened to her breathing and it sounds ok. Could this be croup or maybe her throat just being sore from all the coughing?

Does it sound like a seal barking? This happened when my daughter was a baby. I rang 111, they sent an ambulance, took her to hospital, gave her a steroid and she was fine a few hours later. Might have been a slight over reaction by 111 but I understand they have to be cautious and I was grateful it got sorted quickly.

Could you take her back to GP or walk in centre this morning and explain the cough has now changed? Hope you get sorted quickly.
