Hi,

Just wanted to see if anyone has experienced the same as us with their children and may be able to offer any idea of what could be causing this?

Back in November, my daughter was ill with a cold virus (high temp, snotty, very lethargic for around 2 weeks). During this illness, she also started being randomly sick at night a few hours after we had put her to bed. She would be sick once, there would be quite a bit of sick (I assume emptying her stomach contents), the sick would often contain half digested food that she has either eaten that evening or earlier that afternoon.

She recovered from this cold however the sickness has persisted. Sometimes it will be up to 3 times in 7 days however we have also had gaps in between (longest gap was 9 days). The sickness has also not been isolated to during the night but could now be in the afternoon, evening or even late morning. My daughter has also not put on any weight since late November and has got a significantly bloated belly in the evenings and during the day after eating. The sickness is still the same in that she gets sick once and then is completely fine and back to normal again after.

We have taken her to the GP (who was pretty useless) and they have referred to the peadiatric team at the hospital however could be months before we get an appointment.

Anyone else had any experience of this and what it might be?

Could be coeliacs disease.
