Hello, had chicken pox confirmed by GP last night. First pox appeared Wednesday PM (unnoticed to us!) GP said that would make us Day 5 today (Sunday) and that we should be blistering and through the worst by Monday. His tummy and legs have blistered but has woken up today with new spots on his arms, face, ears etc - is it normal to get new spots or are we not near the worst of it?!

We are not sleeping, he will fall asleep and wake up 5 minutes later really upset so everyone is very tired and looking for light at the end of the tunnel.

Son is 22months. Using verasoothe and calpol.

New spots come out for up to 5 days so you are hopefully on the last day. Get some liquid piriton as that really helps with the itching. He should hopefully start feeling better over the next day or so. One thing I used which I was sceptical about but it did work was bathing in the classic head and shoulders! It worked to scan over the spots really quickly. Other things people recommend are putting oats inside a sock/tights and popping that in the bath water, children find it really soothing. Hope he’s better soon.
