Hi,
I have seen a lot of posts on how dangerous it is for the newborn if sick adult kisses a newborn, that newborn can develop bad illnesses with sometimes irreversible results. Having a toddler who constantly has some kind of virus going on, runny nose and cough I was wondering how do mums in the same situation cope? How do you protect your newborn? Or perhaps on the opposite, you let your older one interact with the newborn and had no issues with newborn health? Or they have infected them and it wasnt bad or was it bad?
Share your experiences as I am not sure I can always keep my toddler away from my newborn but also getting worried about how seriously they can be affected.
thanks

You cannot keep siblings apart even if they are sick so you just have to embrace it and hope for the best.
This question wasn’t even asked years ago.

Your baby’s sibling with be a goldmine of exposure to build your baby’s immune system. Don’t overthink this shit, babies have existed and thrived in germs environments forever.
