7 month diarrhea and nappy rash

Wonder if anyone has any advice.. for the last 2 weeks my son has had diarrhea which has caused a really nasty nappy rash. He's had creams from Dr's which hasn't helped and now been told to just use sudocrem.
The thing is, he still has the diarrhea, which makes him more sore. He also has some solid poos, like plasticine. I'm wondering if it's constipation, and the Dr agreed that it could be. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Hi OP, sorry to hear you LO is having a hard time at the moment. Could LO be allergic to something that is upsetting their stomach?

My eldest had constipation when we first weaned him and I would give him puréed prunes and oranges to help.

Also, the best cream I have found for nappy rash is this one:

Don’t know if you’ve tried it already, but it was the only thing that worked on my LO’s nappy rash.

How is he now @Firsttimemumtobee?

Just to say be sure to use a probiotic to build up good gut flora - diarrhoea flushes it out & then this can prolong gut issues

I've seen a few different doctors now for this problem, one thinks it could possibly be a dairy allergy, another says that would be highly unlikely to develop this late. I've been ebf and have a pretty dairy heavy diet.
One Dr said to stop creams and that helped it to clear up loads. She said it didn't look like a fungal rash to her, so it was like the anti fungal cream was just adding to the problem. She said to use LOADS of sudocrem, which has really helped thankfully!

Also, both Dr's thought poos sounded normal for weaning.. everything has calmed down for now 😅
