Baby’s nose bridge bruise

My baby has had this on the bridge of her nose since she was born. It’s got no bigger and sometimes I don’t think it’s as noticeable. Anyone else’s baby had the same thing?

These are very common, particularly in fair skinned babies. It’s just a blood vessel that’s close to the skin, both my nephew and my son had/have them. They usually fade as the kids age, my nephew is nearly six and his hasn’t been visible for years.

If you look up “sugar bug vein” (think this is an American term) or prominent dorsal nasal vein you will see lots of similar images.

Sugar bug vein

My youngest had it and it scared me until I googled.

She's almost six now, and it's only visible very faintly if she's pale because of being tired or poorly.

I have no actual answer for you but just wanted to say what a cute baby you have Grin Those eyes are gorgeous!
