Reoccurring Ear infection

My 4 year old daughter keeps getting ear infections, every 2-3 weeks and goes on for around 2 weeks. It's what she has to live with, and has done since she was around 2.
She keeps getting antibiotics, she's under the ENT, and has been told she has a hole in her eardrum. The doctors swab result has come back as STAPHYLOCOCCUS , AUREUS.
All im doing is worrying. Should I be worrying ? Has anyone else's child suffered with this? .thankyou

it is a worry because it will affect her long term hearing and speech.
often these ear infections start with fluid build up in the middle ear due to the eustachian tube being swollen and not draining properly.
in my experience (my dd had this issue) it was due to allergies. once i dealt with the allergies (in her case environmental) the issue resolved itself.
her pediatrician at the time switched her from antibiotics to decongestants (which decreased the swelling in the eustachian tube allowing the fluid to drain and not become infected).
i'd review this with the dr. some staph is part of normal body flora.
