My 16 month old developed a really nasty rash in her nappy last Wednesday, which eventually cleared up with some sudocrem. Recently she's developed some spots under her chin and a couple around her mouth (already being told it was a rash from where she was dribbling due to teething). Yesterday I noticed a cluster of what look like blisters on her feet and today she seems to have a rash going up both of her legs and a weird looking cluster of spots at the top of her back. She had a small temperature a couple of days ago which went overnight but has gone off her food as she does have a nasty cough (has had it on and off for a couple of months but we were seen by a doctor who said it was just a viral cold). Any idea what it could be? I am happy to take her to be seen by a pharmacist tomorrow morning if there's anything I can do? We've used epimax emollient cream for a couple of weeks due to dry patches on her skin

Hand foot and mouth?

I thought so, but I didn't know if the rash would spread up her leg - was really hoping it wasn't chickenpox!

Yes looks like HF&M to me. DS had it all up his arms and legs, and his worst patches were his elbows and the backs of his knees

Yep, Hand Foot & Mouth.

My DD's spots were worst in her nappy area!

Hand foot and mouth can appear in the nappy area and on the legs as well as usual places
